TAPE HAIR EXTENSIONS
The BeautyWorks specially formulated medical grade adhesive means installation lasts much longer than typical tape glue which can slip or slide usually within 2-3 weeks. Beauty Works tape-in method lasts approximately 6-8 weeks and withstands washing and brushing and removal takes place within seconds.
With the correct aftercare Slimline® can be reused and reapplied.
Tape extensions are hand placed onto a transparent flat PU material, minimising the thickness of other tape-in systems and have a matt finish. Each 48g pack contains 16 pre-taped extension wefts. This method is fantastic for adding volume, length and colour, clients can enjoy a unique range of colours exclusive to Beauty Works and select from a wide variation of lengths from 14" through to 28".

Hand selected and cuticle retained their virgin hair is specifically processed to ensure that the protective layer of the cuticle remain intact and are facing the same direction from root to tip. Ensuring natural shine and vitality allowing the hair to behave tangle-free throughout its lifetime. Reusable for multiple applications their remy hair can be reapplied and will last many months with the correct aftercare and maintenance.

A £25 deposit will be required after your consultation and colour match. This will be deducted from your fitting price on the day of your appointment. Hair will need to be purchased at the time of your consultation/ colour match to ensure best results. Please do not cut or dye your hair after your consultation, as this will result in rescheduling your appointment and the full price of fitting will still be payable. Maintenance of your hair is recommended every 6-8 weeks. If the hair is left longer than the recommended time, you may be charged for a full refit. If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of the appointment date, this will result in the loss of your deposit and you will need to rebook.If for any reason the hair quality is poor, I will ask for you to return to me for the hair to be removed and I will contact the manufacturer for either replacement or refund.

AFTERCARE
Brushing
A soft bristle hairbrush is recommended, and will leave hair shiny and in optimum condition. Begin brushing at the ends, progressing to the mid length, and finally the root area. Be gentle and avoid snagging the hair. For sleeping, gently tie hair back in a loose braid or twist; this will help prevent tangles and knots occurring overnight.
Cleansing
Brush hair thoroughly, then soak with warm water. Avoid tipping hair forward and always wash from the crown down. Distribute your normal amount of shampoo at the root area. Gently massage in small circles over the scalp; this will cleanse both the natural hair and your extensions. Take a hands-off approach to mid-lengths and ends as these will be cleansed sufficiently during the rinsing process. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Pay particular attention to the wefted/ taped area to ensure thorough rinsing.
Conditioning
To condition we recommend applying hair conditioner every time you wash your hair. Target the mid-lengths and ends only, not the scalp or bonds. Gently massage and distribute thoroughly. You can brush the ends using your soft bristled brush. This helps ensure every hair’s coated thoroughly with conditioner. Leave on for between a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes. Once conditioned, rinse thoroughly with warm water. For a conditioning boost, you can use a deep conditioning treatment once a week.
Towel Drying
After rinsing, squeeze excess water from the hair and wrap a towel around the head. Gently pat the towel to remove moisture, avoid rubbing scalp and hair. Next, gently brush hair with your soft bristle brush, beginning at ends, progress to mid-length, and finish with the roots.
Drying and Styling
You can leave hair to dry naturally or blow-dry. Keep your hairdryer on a low heat setting and use a soft bristled brush to style in the latter stages. Once dry, your options include Rollers, Hot Sticks, Curling Tongs or Hair Straighteners. It’s important not to exceed 160° when heat styling.
TOP TIPS
When using shampoos and conditioners, avoid brands containing oils or fruit acids, such as wheatgerm or citrus. Shampoos containing these ingredients can damage extensions
Rinse hair for a few seconds more than normal as the extra volume created by your extensions means it can take longer to rinse away product residue.
Never sleep with wet or damp hair as doing so could affect the extensions or may cause the hair to tangle during the night.
If you have an oily scalp wash hair regularly, as a build up of natural oils could leave your tapes/ microrings slipping or falling out, or trigger shedding of extension hair.
Styling products are generally extensions-friendly. However, when using serums, use sparingly and only on the ends.
If you regularly swim or are planning to holiday whilst wearing extensions we recommend that when swimming in the sea or swimming pool, you wear a protective bathing cap as the chemicals in the pool or salt levels in the sea may affect your extensions. I cannot guarantee the quality if adequate precautions are not taken.
Weft and tape extensions require an appointment every six/eight weeks for maintenance. Allow extra time for washing, rinsing and conditioning due to the added weight and volume involved. It’s essential the hair is brushed from the ends, to the mid-lengths and then to the root area. Section the hair for brushing and support the hair at the root area. The root area must be brushed regularly to keep knots and tangles to a minimum.
Don’t be tempted to colour your hair extensions at home. Only use salon applied shades only!
